Kanamoji Lesson

Time flies, and next month is already December.
This time, as preparation for the New Year, we mainly practiced writing New Year’s greeting messages.

Although fewer and fewer people send New Year’s cards every year,
some may be returning to the original custom of sending a few handwritten cards with heartfelt messages to their important friends and acquaintances.

Among those attending the small-brush calligraphy class, there seem to be people who plan to send New Year’s cards written with the techniques they have learned here^^
Simply sending a large number of computer-generated greetings with no personal touch can understandably be seen as a wasteful custom,
and it can lead both senders and recipients to feel it is just a habit, reinforcing the idea that “New Year’s cards are pointless.”
However, a beautifully handwritten New Year’s card still brings joy and conveys genuine feeling^^

The participants in the class are now capable of creating fairly advanced kana calligraphy,
including scattered-layout works✨

I hope that sending New Year’s cards this year will give everyone a chance to show the results of their efforts in the small-brush calligraphy course^^/
